Since we can’t prevent your hair from turning unhealthy, we surely can try bringing back your healthy hair and saying goodbye to damaged and lifeless hair. Our Junior Stylist Naomi Park, has shared with us a few home remedies to solve different hair issues with reasonable ingredients that are easily available in our kitchen and that won’t require us to run to the market after reading this blog.

1. For Dry Hair :

Mix aloe vera gel, honey and yogurt to create a hair mask and leave for 20 mins or you can apply mayonnaise onto your scalp and hair for 30 mins to moisturize your hair and make it smooth.

2. For Oily Scalp :

Post-shampoo, mix 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in water and apply to your scalp. To help maintain the pH level of your scalp, apply once or twice every week, not more due to the acidic properties of apple cider vinegar. Don’t repeat too often or your hair color will begin to run out, ensure you condition your hair well post this application.

3. To Treat Dandruff :

Mix ½ a cup of curd, 2 teaspoons of lemon juice and 2 teaspoons of olive oil and coconut oil, apply this mixture to your scalp and hair and leave for 3 hours till it dries, cleans your hair with regular water and repeat this 2 times a week. Coconut oil has antimicrobial properties, olive oil strengthens the hair follicles, is rich in vitamins and helps protect the keratin in the hair while the lactic acid in yogurt helps cleanse the scalp of dead skin and the citric acid removes excess oil on the scalp.

4. Brittle/Chemically Treated Hair :

Mix aloe vera gel, honey, and castor oil to deep condition your dry, frizzy and damaged hair or mix 1 banana and 1 tablespoon of honey and keep for half an hour to make the hair silky and soft.
